Wrong, Carl Jung, very wrong. Jung brought so much to the fields of psychology and psychiatry, but this view of mental illness should have been dropped like any other disproved hypothesis. It is dangerously incorrect, and propagating that kind of outdated, misinformed attitude only serves to increase the stigma attatched to mental illness, discourage sufferers from seeking treatment, and ultimately adds to the problem. Organisations like Mind and Rethink are the antidote to Jung’s nonsense.
